Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She grew up listening mostly to traditional music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. When she was a child, her mother would sing with her at the age of 12, she took up more rigorous singing lessons at the age of 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choirs in Guadalajara and Mexico City. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist with traditional Latin American music at private events. As a local performer and instructor the passion for art and music has her engaged in a wide range of initiatives. Ana is also a past part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Chorale for the permission to sing the traditional Latin American song.
